Kabavir-L is a tablet that contains two antiretroviral medications, Abacavir (600mg) and Lamivudine (300mg), used to treat HIV infection by preventing the virus from multiplying. It helps reduce the amount of virus in the body and increase CD4 cell count, which are white blood cells that fight infection.
Kabavir L contains two antiretroviral medicines that are classified as nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs).
Abacavir Sulphate (600mg): Blocks the reverse transcriptase enzyme that the HIV virus needs to multiply.
Lamivudine (300mg): Also inhibits the reverse transcriptase enzyme, working with Abacavir to stop the virus from reproducing.
By preventing the virus from multiplying, Kabavir L helps lower the amount of HIV in the body. This allows the immune system to work better and helps delay the development of serious health problems associated with HIV and AIDS.
